ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING (AGM)
Hui Ā-Tau
ARCC’s Annual General Meeting (AGM) is a key event held each July, bringing together our members, Board of Directors, staff, volunteers, member leaders, and other stakeholders. This important gathering promotes transparency, accountability, and engagement within the organisation.
At the AGM, we review our yearly achievements, financial performance, and governance. It’s an opportunity to showcase ARCC’s progress and discuss future plans. This meeting ensures we remain accountable and fosters trust among our members, donors, and the wider community.

ARCC SOCCER TOURNAMNET
Tākaro Whutupōro ARCC
ARCC’s soccer tournaments aim to unite resettled community members, especially youth, from diverse ethnic backgrounds through the celebration of culture and sport. These events foster integration and build connections among different groups.
We typically organise two tournaments each year: one in winter and another in summer. For example, our 2022 tournaments were held on 23 July (Winter) and 20 November (Summer).
These tournaments serve as excellent platforms for bringing together various ethnicities within resettled communities. They celebrate cultural diversity and help break down integration barriers in a fun, safe sporting environment. By reducing isolation and encouraging connections, these events contribute to the overall cohesion and unity of our communities.

WORLD REFUGEE DAY
Rā Ao mō ngā Tāngata Pārua
World Refugee Day is observed every 20th June to mark the anniversary of the 1951 Refugee Convention, which protects refugees' rights. This day raises awareness about the global refugee crisis and celebrates the resilience of displaced people worldwide.
ARCC actively honours this day by welcoming and supporting forced migrants during their resettlement. We also raise awareness about refugee challenges and successes, bringing together diverse people to promote inclusion and unity. Our commitment helps celebrate refugees' stories, cultures, and contributions, making World Refugee Day a time for reflection, education, and solidarity in Aotearoa
